There are numerous ways to navigate through your iPhone to find the person you want to call, from checking your contacts, browsing your recent call logs, or even setting favorites. All your iPhone’s contacts are listed in ascending alphabetical order by last name by default which can be inconvenient. Follow these instructions, to sort your contacts in ascending alphabetical order which can be convenient whilst browsing for a specific contact.

Instructions:

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Slide down to and tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
  3. Slide down to the Contacts subsection and tap on Sort Order.
  4. Change the sort order to First, Last.

Your contacts are now sorted alphabetically by first name, so making that phone call should be much quicker!
